Denver Health & Hospital - Director of Lean System Improvements

Works with leadership to identify inefficiencies within the organization and develop and deploy lean tools. Has broad and deep knowledge of Lean philosophy and tools. Drive business level process improvements. Train and coach others throughout different areas/functions to use process improvement tools. Provide training for Denver Health blackbelt program and lead lean events such as Rapid Improvement Events, 2P/3P, and Verticle Value Stream Analysis. Provides guidance on establishing benchmarks and metrics.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field. Master's degree preferred. A combination of experience, education and training will be considered. Typically a minimum of five years experience in lean deployment roles and managing teams with proven results. Lean facilitation experience and in-depth knowledge of Toyota Lean Production System tool and implementation. Able to design, develop and conduct Value Streams, strong communication (written and oral) and training skills. Skilled at communicating with all levels of the organization. Able to effectively adapt content and style to diverse audiences from executives and managers, physicians, nurses, and other hospital employees. Strong financial analysis and decision support skills. Able to lead Kaizen events. Able to document and measure results. Able to use Microsoft Office software including PowerPoint.
