Patient deductibles for employer-backed health insurance continued to ascend in 2014, according to this year’s Kaiser Family Foundation/Health Research & Educational Trust Employer Health Benefits Survey. The report’s authors note that the average annual deductible for individual coverage climbed above $1,200 for the first time, and that 18 percent of covered workers are in a plan with an annual deductible of $2,000 or more for single coverage.
