CHICAGO — As predicted, a lot of the discussions taking place at the ACHE 2014 Congress thus far have centered on the new skills leaders need to guide their organizations amid the tumult of health reform.

ACHE officials are trying to stay ahead of the game, doing such things as creating a task force to identify some of those competencies and figure out how to develop a curriculum to help members advance their knowledge of the new health care world.

"What do we feel is going to be key to our success from a skills standpoint?" Christine Candio, R.N., the ACHE's new chairman and the CEO of Inova Alexandria (Va.) Hospital and senior vice president of Inova Health System in Falls Church, Va., told our colleague Marty Stempniak. She offers more insights in this video.
