Based on quantitative measures, Princeton Community Hospital ranked as the "worst of the worst" in West Virginia. In a 2011 report by the West Virginia Hospital Association, the hospital scored 30 out of 31 hospitals in value-based purchasing and HCAHPS measures. An intense focus on performance improvement, and participation in the HEN program, has led to significant improvements.
