The American Hospital Association will present a webinar Thursday, Nov. 3, on the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, or MACRA, designed to give hospital and physician leaders the information they need to know about preparing for implementation of the law, which begins Jan. 1, 2017.
The event will feature Jay Bhatt, D.O., AHA senior vice president, chief medical officer and president of the Health Research & Educational Trust; Akin Demehin, AHA director of policy; and Melissa Myers, AHA senior associate director of policy. Register for the 3 p.m. ET event here.
In addition, the AHA has released a series of one- to three-minute videos that give an overview of MACRA, its impact on providers, changes in quality reporting measures, among other related topics. "With 2017 rapidly approaching, hospitals and their clinician partners need to understand how to prepare and how their current population health and clinical activities align towards safer, better, and smarter care," says Bhatt, in a blog posting on the videos, which include "small, bite-sized “MACRA Minutes.”
