Sleepless with Cellphones
Comparing several recent studies, researchers found that 72% of children and 89% of adolescents have at least one electronic device such as a cellphone or tablet in their bedrooms and most are used near bedtime.
43% of them wake up at least once a night to respond to texts or messages.
Even those who don’t use their devices at night suffer from disturbed sleep because of the noise and light emitted.
