Transportation

"Access to care" often means providing patients with affordable care. But for many, "access" also literally means transportation to their providers' facilities. For those with chronic conditions who make frequent visits to their providers, lack of reliable transportation can result in lack of care. Hospitals are working within their communities to make sure that transportation exists for all who need to see their providers.
